Congratulations to Nicole Hasis who was named the 2025 WellSpan Comeback Athlete of the Year for Gettysburg Area High School!

Nicole suffered a complicated injury that grounded her for her sophomore swim season. After surgery and months of physical therapy she was able to find her way back to the pool for her junior campaign. She proved to be a great asset to her team and was able to finish her season placing 3rd in the 100 free and 7th in the 100 back while also helping her 200 medley and 200 free relay teams place 7th and 9th respectively at the Mid Penn Championships. She finished her season with an 8th place finish in the 50 free and 11th in the 100 free at the PIAA District 3 Championships.

Nicole was able to overcome a major injury and return to her sport with impressive growth, which makes her the WellSpan Comeback Athlete of the year.
