Matt Mehler- Boys and Girls Tennis Coach

Coaching Experience: I have coached varsity high school tennis for over 25 years and conducted private lessons to all ages for over 30 years.

Playing Experience: I played competitive tennis for four years at the high school level, four years at a Division 1 university and I continue to compete in various tennis leagues as a 5.0 player.

Favorite Coaching Memory: I do not have one specific favorite coaching memory. Over the years, I have found that teaching students and watching them develop as tennis players and people would be what I have enjoyed the most.

Coaching Philosophy: I believe in hard work and having fun. I try to incorporate these two principles in all aspects of my coaching.

Why do you coach at Gettysburg?: As a new coach, I have found Gettysburg to be a very welcoming community. Being able to share my passion for tennis with the Gettysburg students and watch them learn new skills has been very rewarding.
