Name: Kurt Kluck
Coaching Experience: 7 years - Softball and 4 years - Golf (@ Northern York), 1 year JV
Baseball (@ Gettysburg)
Playing Experience: Played baseball at GHS from 2000-2003, played golf at GHS from
2000-2003, 2004 York College, & 2011 Nationwide Tour
Favorite Coaching Memory: Final year at Northern, final game…needing one win to secure
a District Playoff spot, worked on the field in the pouring rain for the entire day to play
Cedar Cliff (State Champion Runner-up from the year before). Got down early, only to
see my girls rally to win 11-9 and make it to Districts.
Coaching Philosophy: Team First - I don’t care what positions you’ve played in the past,
what spot in the lineup you’ve batted, or what you’ve been asked to do at the plate. We
are ONE TEAM and we will do whatever is best for the TEAM and whatever gives us the
best chance to win.
Why do you coach at Gettysburg?: It’s my alma mater, my kids go to Gettysburg, and I want to see success for this program similar to what I had at Northern. I started my coaching 13 years ago as a college intern for Coach Laing, and later became his JV coach before gaining employment at Northern.
This is where I found my passion for softball!
